Fela Anikulapo Kuti (R.I.P) was one of the famous and revolutionary sons of Africa, who coined and created what we now know as Afrobeat.

Spreading the Afrobeat afar and beyond was Fela’s band Africa 70 assembled in the 60’s and 70’s and from this band set came the infamous and legendary drummer and composer Tony Allen (with the band between 1968 to 1979), carrying on the touch of this form of music.

Tony Allen returned to his roots Nigeria recently, for his latest offering and release the “Secret Agent“. In rightful words of  World Circuit Records:

Back to basics, it’s pure Afrobeat, plain and simple groove.

That said and done, a people of Afrobeat, better go get it.. “Secret Agent” and here is a short, featuring exclusive footage including performances of tracks from the album, new interviews, with contributions from Damon Albarn (Blur) and Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers).
