Brooklynati is the most recent and official second release, an album critically acclaimed for its production and most importantly lyrical content by not a girl trio Tanya Morgan.
Tanya Morgan consists of rappers Donwill and Ilyas (Cincinnati), and rapper/producer Von Pea (Brooklyn) which was formed in 2003 but a thought might be? the name of the album was taken from both cities, maybe?
Anyway dissect previous works of Tanya Morgan and Oh boy! Don’t we have something here, take for instance from The Bridge (EP) that joint (not that) Get Me Inside what a track – slow/groove, cool/chill, the vibe is electric with those words in unison.
Tanya Morgan’s Von Pea is the brother that featured, on the P.Casso (we did an article on) track Mt Olympus (Earth Tones) and Tanya Morgan group on Grateful with Donny Goines (The Breakfast Club) this association is lets say the quality linkage and through these mixtapes our introduction to the trio.
Back on track and lets stop the sidetrack, hearing various tracks from Brooklynati its definitely a go getter of an album, beg to differ check this out:
“One of those albums that further proves the fact that hip-hop is not, and will never be, dead. As long as there are talented artists out there like Tanya Morgan looking to push the genre forward, hip-hop will remain healthy and full of gusto. (popmatters)
Brooklynati is given 4.5 out of 5 stars for fresh lyrics, timeless beats and a complete, concise package that lives up to all of the hype and acclaim bestowed upon these talented brothers. (rockthedub)”
What’s up Doc? Well, that’s not all folks, there’s one track on there let’s see ha! “So Damn Down” is to put it correctly so damn up with the favourites.
Have a butchers and see/listen to these fire tracks by Tanya Morgan. Good music Check Sivion and Emmanuel Jal
