Phi Life Cypher are a hip hop group that hail from Luton in the UK. The group consist of Life, Si-Philli as the MCs and DJ Nappa as producer and pursuing solo projects besides.

Phi Life Cypher have been together since 1996 releasing albums: Millennium Metaphors (2000), The Instrumentals (2000), Higher Forces (2003) and Playback (2006). This group, in some shape or form credited on the UK hip hop underground with putting out quality hip hop content whether production or lyrical prowess alas Dead Prez.

One wonders, obviously not knowing the ins and outs of Phi Life Cypher, why the trio/group aren’t brimming over the underground into the hip hop overground.

Let’s face it, having hard hitting production and thought provoking/conscious lyrics will create a 12 foot hole in pockets of you know who and hey lets stick with the romanticize type? Don’t get me wrong there is room for all types of music, a fair balance on the air, but then again the world isnt!

Phi Life Cypher are a UK hip hop as good as any backpack/conscious/alternative hip hop group on the world scene, just have a butchers of this track and hopefully Phi Life Cypher release new records soon.
