See many or few say hip hop is dead, this notion in a sense can be attributed to the very commercialised hip hop overground maybe? At the end of the day, its what your music poison is, after all some of these commercial artistes that are despised have gone on to become legends, classic albums, record breakers etc.

Hip hop is not necessarily dead when it comes to the underground though whether the US, UK, Europe, Asia, Africa for instance. Just some mutterings before the actual article commences LOL.

This is where we enter the realm of P.Casso, a US underground rapper and producer who is gathering acclaim and praise stateside, I came across this fellow from a friend (music guru of sorts) had a butchers of P.Casso’s new album, colour themed/coded tracks on Earthtones and the rest and lets cliche this, is history.

From track 1 - Earth Tones to Track 18 – Pumpkin – D-Day, you push and pump it, pump it a bit, pump more and further and Aaah! this needs a Rewind not fast forward or skip, rewind well till your ears are sore and bleeding well may be not.

Go get it and check out the album, who said Picasso (P.Casso) is not painting no more, and hip hop is alive in one form of the other just got to look deeper, this time, that’s all LOL.

Here is a taster of tracks of the album Earthtones:
