New Music: Fire Is Low by Freshlyground

Freshlyground is one of the finest music bands in South Africa if not the mother continent, with their traditional mix of south african sounds, live instruments, soul, funk, rock and inspiring lyrics, this is afro soul pop the young to adults can appreciate.
Born in 2002 out of the cultural hotbed that is Cape Town, South Africa, Freshlyground have become the musical voice of a nation’s adolescent democracy. Featuring members of different ethnicities from South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe their diverse backgrounds have allowed them to weave a musical magic that is highly infectious and undeniably groovy.
Comprising the collective of Zolani - Vocals, Shaggy - The keys, Simon - Flute, Gugs - Guitar, Kyla-Rose - Violin, Josh - Freestyler and Peter - Drums, the band recently released their latest effort entitled "Radio Africa" and listening to the stream via their site and purchase.
