Artists come and go, especially in the current music climate if not cutting it, dropping is word we have all become too familiar with these days.
She and band surfaced on the scene in the 1980s releasing some award winning albums in
Diamond Life (1984),
Promise (1985) and
Stronger Than Pride (1988). Out of that stable of material, came quality and timeless classics:
Smooth Operator, The Sweetest Taboo,
Paradise to name a few.
It didn't end there though, foundations laid during that period consistency and momentum has been maintained through the years with putting out records:
Lover Rock and
Love Deluxe and soon to release a brand new album at the tail end of this year.
Obviously from that introduction its none other than,
Helen Folasade Adu (
Sade,
lead vocalist) and band wholly known as
Sade.
Sade's vocals and band's sound is just smooth, laid back, thoughtful soul, vibe and groove, maybe'ish reminiscent of those jazz bands of the 50s and 60s in smoking bars or not? But either way you can't fault the warmness, sound and vocals of quality
Sade and band.
Come aboard and take a trip (no transport needed) down memory lane.
