The Spirit was a fictional american comic book created in 1940 by a writer and artist by the name of Will Eisner for a Sunday newspaper and considered by many as a masterpiece.

Fast forward to 2007, this comic book/newspaper strip has been adapted and shot for the bigscreen by the gentleman that brought us Sin City a grounding breaking film with its noirish feel, act and look, the man being Frank Miller.

Frank Miller wrote and directed whilst produced by Michael Uslan, the film stars Gabriel Macht as The Spirit and Samuel L. Jackson as his nemesis, The Octopus and Eva Mendes as Sand Saref, Scarlett Johansson as Silken Floss.

Writer and Directior said of the main character, “The character has a terrifying side to him. This is a man who’s died and come back to life. So it twists into fantasy. And of course there are tons of women in it. There have to be — it’s The Spirit. They’re all in love with him, and he’s in love with all of them. You might say he’s a bit of a slut.” The plot line for the film is under wraps apparently top secret shuuhh.

Decemeber is the release of this film adaptation The Spirit if, of the same quality of Sin City, 300 that will be a great result, who knows it might even surpass expectations!
