Bernard Jeffrey McCullough, a fine stand up comedian of his generation and also a critically acclaimed actor of film and TV in shows like The Original Kings of Comedy, Midnight Mac, The Bernie Mac Show, Oceans films, Friday to name a few.

Better known as Bernie Mac his sudden passing on August 9 2008 aged 50 years was as a result of complications with pneumonia by which this time Mr Mac was in remission from Sarcoidosis (an inflammatory lung disease).

Bernie Mac’s came from humble beginnings working as a furniture mover, UPS agent etc onto stand up comedian at Chicago’s Cotton Club. Bernie Mac’s performances in HBO‘s Def Comedy Jam and Friday as Pastor Clever brought him to the attention of the public and the rest as they say is history and career spanned 30 years.

May His soul Rest In Peace, the mortal departs but the intangible lives on. Here are two of the standout moments by US stand up comedian Bernie Mac anything he does just makes you laugh out loud.
