Who said women are not funny, well maybe some arent? But those who are, are really funny.

Enter the world of Gina Yashere a british born and bred comedienne whose been “wooing and wowing” audiences from all walks of life with her brand of comedy, since the days of Blouse and Skirt to Mock of the Week (BBC2 shows respectively).

She has appeared in two feature films; ’Kiss Kiss Bang Bang’ as ’Polythene Pam’, recently ’Mr In-Between’, and on stage in the West End show The Vagina Monologues, so stand up comedy is not the only outlet of her talent.

Gina currently resides in Los Angeles expanding her audience reach and becoming  the first ever British comic to perform on Russell Simmon’s Def Comedy Jam and not done mind LOL, best female at the Black Entertainment and Comedy Awards in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Enough said!

There we have it folks, how many British comedians have blessed the Def Comedy Jam stage? not many obviously but for a woman of her pedigree it was bound to happen sooner than later, on otherhand Kojo a UK comedian is gathering praise stateside so, big things for UK comedy in the USA. Nice
